Description
Dr. Augustus Pearson was the choir director from 1989-1991. During his tenure, the choir performed during the installation of Chancellor Lloyd V. Hackley. The guest speaker of the ceremony was then Governor of Arkansas, William (Bill) J. Clinton. The choir also performed at Duke University Chapel for the North Carolina Music Educators Association. Dr. Pearson graduated from Howard University, received his master’s degree from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.
