Abstract
Consider the equation (1) x?+ f(x)x? + g(x(t-h)) = 0 with f, g continuous and h > 0. By employing Liapunov's direct method, we construct an invariant sector in the phase space for certain solution maps and then show the existence of a nonconstant periodic solution of (1) using a fixed point theorem of Nussbaum with certain bifurcation techniques.
