Screening effect in electromagnetic production of electron-positron pairs in relativistic nucleus-atom collisions
Abstract
We study the screening effects of the atomic electrons in the electromagnetic production of electron-positron pairs in relativistic nucleus-atom collisions for fixed target experiments. Our results are contrasted with those obtained in bare collisions, with particular attention given to its dependence on the beam energy and the target atom. © 1999 The American Physical Society.
