Abstract
In this paper we analyze an immersed interface finite element method for second order semilinear parabolic interface problems. Convergence of the semi discrete solution to the exact solution is shown to be of the optimal order in L2 and energy norms. Further, fully discrete scheme based on backward Euler method is studied and optimal error in L2 norm is established. Numerical examples of a parabolic interface problems are also provided.
