Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new method of curves and surfaces modeling by constructing blending functions based on Beta-binomial distribution. Compared with Bernstein-Bezier blending functions, these blending functions have parameters of shape-adjusting. The shape of curves and surfaces can be adjusted by these parameters. Properties of these new type blending functions, such as positivity, partition of unity, symmetry and so on, are discussed. © 2012 Binary Information Press.
