Computer modeling of cancer immunotherapy

Jacoya Chantel Thompson, Fayetteville State University

Abstract

Mathematical modeling and computer simulations were used to study the dynamics of cancer immunotherapy. Immunotherapies of human cancers were modeled using a system of non-linear differential equations based on clinical data of the patho-physiology of the disease. Computer simulations were performed using plausible patient disease parametric configurations. The simulations were used to analyze the criteria for scenarios of cancer persistence, total extinction, and temporal remission under various therapeutic protocols. Computer analyses of the efficacy of various drug delivery schemes were performed.
