Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University by 22 college-educated women. The Delta Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on the campus of Fayetteville Teacher's College on November 8, 1952 by seven trailblazing women.
