Abstract
Through gamifying library outreach, the Chesnutt Library has developed a successful outreach and engagement model that can be scalable to other campus units and partners. The Chesnutt’s library initiative began with simple whiteboard displays and evolved to creatively printed Canva posters and Springshare’s LibWizard quizzes, enhancing student engagement within the library. The development of these interactive displays leverages library creative space technology and digital engagement tools to boost participation in both on-campus and remote university community members. By combining creative space technology with approachable design tools and simple gamification techniques, this model offers innovative yet replicable methods that can be scaled for other academic libraries, as well as, other campus units such as student housing, student life, and dining services. This presentation follows the visual timeline of evolving the library’s creative space technology and outreach initiatives, and will also include examples of how other campus units can partner with the library for student engagement or develop their own applications.
